Knightlines Mortgage Services, LLC had been struggling with the dilemma of lots of traffic to its site, but very little business coming from it. Upon review, Healthy Business Solutions was able to determine that the layout and design of the site was keeping potential clients from clicking the ever wanted “Apply Now” button.
Originally set on a black background and white font, a visitor got the impression that the site was strictly a blogging platform offering information on mortgages and not a business site looking for clients.
After the renovation, the site obtained a more professional look and extra features offering visitors an easier way to find the information they are looking for. The scrolling banner at the top of the home page provides quick recognition that this is a business, offers mortgage financing, and the opportunity to “Apply Now”.
Based on feedback from Knightlines, they have already seen an increase in visitors requesting more information about mortgage programs by the completion of the simple “Contact Us” form. And the “Apply Now” page is linked out of the template to a SECURE page where the completed application is emailed directly to Knightlines over a secure email account, ensuring privacy to its clients.
Update: Knightlines Mortgage Services, LLC closed its doors in February 2010. The site is still active, but has been re-branded to the new company’s image. Clients are still making their way to the site and are applying for a mortgage despite the name change.
